Nicolas Alziari - Nice, France

I was looking for this little olive oil shop as I read about it and the rest of Nice in a tiny article in Conde Nast Traveler but couldn't find it. Until the following morning as we were getting ready to leave to Italy and were walking back to the hotel from breakfast I spotted the shop. It was less than a block from the Hotel Beau Rivage. I had to snap a pic. It's supposed to some of the worlds best olive oil as I've read and heard from friends that French olive oil is supposed to be the best in the world. Unfortunately early in the morning it wasn't open for me to buy a bottle of it so we'll just have to do it on the next trip! Read the history about it right at the link below.

I did actually buy some French olive oil. Padre Cesar's Huile d' Olive Vierge Extra which actually does come from Nice as well. The only info I could find about that olive oil is at the second link below.I love good olive oil! Don't you?
