Ristorante Cesarina - Bologna, Italy

Our first dinner in Bologna and it was amazing! It was recommended by the bartender at AC Hotel and what a great recommendation! What a friendly staff!!!! My God they were very attentive and accommodating! Actually we had been traveling all day and were a bit fried of just doing nothing and were a bit out of it as you can see from Randy's pic below. From Nice to Bologna on the train from 10am. Got here at 7pm to the restaurant and we were the only ones in. We asked how come there's no one there and they said too early. Well I kind of was thinking maybe this was not a good place after all right after we ordered our food people started walking in. Big families, groups etc were all piling on. The food was delicious. The artichoke salad in the picture below, was sooooo good. I think it was one of the best things I've ever had. Such a unique item! The wine we had was really good Italian wine, a sangiovese and I have the link to the winemaker below in case you want to check it out and possibly get it here. The little fried breads they brought complimentary were tasty as well. They are called Crescentine. Check out the menu on their site below. Randy had a Lasagne verdi al forno and I had Tagliatelle alla bolognese check out the picture below. Sooooo good! We skipped desert but more about desert later! We had filled our stomachs and now can explore the city a bit.
